The team at K-Co is pleased to announce they were honored as Finalists in the category of businesses with 5-10 employees at the 19th Annual Torch Award for Ethics hosted by the Better Business Bureau (BBB).
The Torch Award is an annual event honoring businesses for “their paramount commitment to ethics and advancing marketplace trust.” While fair treatment of consumers is an important part of how this commitment to ethics is measured, the judging criteria also measures how a business empowers its employees, holds vendors accountable, and the impact they have on their community.
K-Co Construction, which has been honored with more than seven Torch Awards in its history, is proud to be among those recognized at this year’s award ceremony. Customer service and care can make a difference in creating a top San Diego Construction Company.
To help ensure that a commitment to ethics lives on in the future, the Torch Awards also includes a scholarship award. These awards are given to students whose essays express their understanding of and commitment to business-place ethics. This year’s grand prize winner of $1,500 is Elijah Hales from Foothill Christian School. For a complete list of scholarship winners, click here.
