Before
The second-story master suite addition, done in the 1980s, was not being used to its full potential. The homeowners needed a creative solution to add an entertainment space/home gym with access to a washroom without integrating an additional toilet.
After
The design challenge was integrating new rooflines and facades with existing ones and camouflaging any distinction between the two projects. A creative solution to the lack of a fourth washroom for the entertainment space saved big money. Instead of adding a 4th toilet to the house ($13,000+), the master bath adjoining the room was reconfigured so the toilet and sink area is accessible from both the master bath and the game room. The room becomes a home gym when the owner rolls his equipment out from its place tucked into unused attic space.
