2007 Community Service Award

For six of the past 10 years, Clairemont’s K-Co Construction Inc. has been acknowledged by the San Diego Better Business Bureau with a Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics. The award is for outstanding commitment to ethical business practices, both in operations and in their relationships with employees, vendors, and customers.

According to K-Co Vice President and General Manager, Chad Gardner, “K-Co is extremely proud to be recognized for ethical business practices. We believe in treating people the right way, whether it is our customers, our employees, or the community we live in.”

K-Co was also recognized as a family-owned business when it earned the prestigious Community Service Award from the University of San Diego Family Business Forum and the SD Business Journal at the 2007 Family-Owned Business of the Year Award.

In addition to the Torch Award, K-Co also won the 2007 Green Innovation Award from Assemblywoman Lori Saldana for its efforts in the emerging “green building movement”. K-Co is embracing energy efficient technologies to reduce negative impact for its operations on the environment.
